Hello, I'm

HONOR FRISCO

High School Senior. Classical Musician.

NYO-USA

UPDATE: I made it!

I am pleased to announce that I have been selected as a member of the National Youth Orchestra of the United States of America for the 2023 season. Serving as a music ambassador and touring with this esteemed group has been a goal of mine for years. Thank you Carnegie Hall Weill Music Institute for this extraordinary opportunity!

MY MUSIC JOURNEY

Life is better with music

From as early as I can remember, music has been part of my life. I fell in love creating sounds with fun instruments as a toddler and started piano and violin lessons at the age of 5. For over 12 years now, I have poured hours of practice into honing my skills.

I am thrilled today to be concertmaster of my school’s symphonic orchestra and a first violinist with the American Youth Symphony. In 2022, I was featured on NPR’s From the Top radio program and had a blast performing and sharing my passion for music on the show! I also had a wonderful time collaborating with award-winning Hollywood composer Mr. Nathan Wang and the LA Opera orchestra. During the summer, I served as concertmaster of the LA Youth Philharmonic Orchestra and was featured as a soloist in their concert at Walt Disney Concert Hall.

As a competition winner, I have performed both piano and violin solos at Carnegie Hall and have received numerous accolades over the years. One of my greatest honors was being a member of Carnegie Hall’s national youth ensemble NYO2 in 2021 and I am delighted to announce that I was selected for the National Youth Orchestra of the United States of America (NYO-USA) for the 2023 season and will serve as a music ambassador this summer on a performance tour around the country.

Throughout my music journey, I tackled a rigorous academic curriculum, including thirteen AP classes, and proudly maintained a high GPA. As I approach high school graduation and face the next chapter in my life, I am excited about the prospects of continuing my music journey in college and beyond!
